About Me
Dr. Ray Hosein is an Assistant Professor for the Division of Plastic Surgery at UT Health San Antonio and Associate Residency Program Director for Plastic Surgery. He has a keen interest in treating traumatic injuries, cancer of the breast and various other locations in the body. His General Surgery residency was completed at the University of Texas HSC San Antonio and his Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Utah. He also completed a Microsurgery Fellowship at the University of Utah, where he learned to perform reconstructive free flap surgery.
Dr. Hosein is an avid researcher in Plastic Surgery with interests in microsurgical outcomes and surgery for cancer. He believes in individualizing the treatment plan to each patient's goals to achieve a mutually acceptable and functional outcome.
