About Me

Ashlee Blume is a board-certified physician assistant and Clinical Director of the UT Health San Antonio Limb Optimization Program. She specializes in caring for patients with limb loss and complex limb conditions with a focus on osseointegration, limb salvage and orthopedic oncology.

Ashlee leads a multidisciplinary team that brings together surgery, prosthetics, rehabilitation and patient education to provide seamless whole-person care. She has been instrumental in launching UT Health’s osseointegration program and developing care pathways that improve comfort, mobility and quality of life for patients.

Raised in Arlington, Texas, Ashlee earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of North Texas and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UT Health San Antonio. She joined the Department of Orthopedics in 2021 where she continues to play a key role in advancing patient care, education and mentorship.
Known for her clinical expertise and compassionate approach, Ashlee is committed to helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes and regain independence in their daily lives.
