About Me
Dr. Javier Hernandez currently serves as an assistant professor in the department of urology at UT Health San Antonio. In addition to his clinical duties, he is actively involved in various research endeavors on the early detection of prostate cancer. He has an interest in all aspects of general urology as well as a particular interest in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of urologic malignancies including tumors of the kidney, bladder, prostate, testis and male genitalia.
Dr. Hernandez also has particular expertise in retroperitoneal lymph node dissections for the management of metastatic testicular cancer. He covers clinical duties at various institutions to include the UT Health PhysiciansAmbulatory Surgery Center, University Hospital, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Northwest Hospital and the Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital.
