About Me

John Walker, M.D./Ph.D., hasbeen part of the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio since 2003, when hestarted medical school.Following graduation, he expanded his horizon through a two-year commitment to research in a partnership between theDepartment of Surgeryat UT Health San Antonioand theU.S. Army Institute for Surgical Research.
He is interested inbetter understanding substitutes integration with native tissue, in particular vascular integration that is vital for cell survival.
