About Me
Philip Chen, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He enjoys all aspects of otolaryngology, but has special interest in disease of the sinuses and the anterior skull base.
Dr. Chen is the only fellowship-trained rhinologist in San Antonio offering care to the civilian community. He completed his residency at the University of Virginia where he trained under esteemed rhinologists Charles Gross, M.D., and Spencer Payne, M.D. Subsequently, he completed one of the world's premier advanced endoscopic sinus and anterior skull base surgery fellowships under the direction of Professor Peter-John Wormald.
Dr. Chen has lectured internationally and authored multiple publications and book chapters. Dr. Chen sees patients at the University Health System - Robert B. Green Campus and the Medical Arts & Research Center - MARC.
