About Me
Dr. Robert Gilson is a faculty member of the division of dermatology leading the patch testing and phototherapy services for UT Health's dermatology practice.He completed his initial residency in internal medicine in 1991and practiced general internal medicine for five years. Hespecialized and completed his residency in dermatologyat the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in 1999. Dr. Gilson has held several of teaching roles over his 21 year military career, serving as dermatology residency program directorthe last four years while at SAUSHEC. He is now the dermatology residency program director at UT Health San Antonio.
Upon retirement from the military in 2009, Dr. Gilson joined the UT Health faculty. He enjoys medical dermatology, teaching and practicing both general dermatology and surgical/procedural dermatology.
