About Me

Dr. Pliszka is Board-Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and been a member of the Faculty since 1986. He is the chairman of the Department of Psychiatry. His expertise is inusing medication to help control symptoms and minimize side effects to treat a wide range of disorders in adults and children including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Pliszka does not provide psychotherapy but refers these matters to colleagues. He has published two books on the treatment of ADHD and its co-occurring conditions.
