The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, also called UT Health San Antonio, is a leading academic health center with a mission to make lives better through excellence in advanced academics, life-saving research and comprehensive clinical care including health, dental and cancer services.
Some dental care goes far beyond restoring teeth. It restores confidence, comfort, and quality of life. That's the focus of Victoria A. Vickers, DDS, a prosthodontist at UT Dentistry with decades of experience caring for patients with complex dental and medical needs.
Dr. Vickers specializes in prosthodontics, including removable dentures, crowns and bridges, implant dentistry, and maxillofacial prosthodontics. Her advanced training allows her to help patients who have undergone extensive medical treatments, including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy for oral and head and neck cancers.
She earned her dental degree from UT Health San Antonio and completed a General Practice Residency at Audie L. Murphy Veterans Affairs Hospital, followed by a Prosthodontic Residency at Houston Veterans Affairs Hospital. Dr. Vickers then pursued specialized fellowship training in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she developed expertise in restoring oral function and appearance for patients affected by cancer.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Vickers has also served as an educator at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, teaching prosthodontic residents the art and science of maxillofacial prosthodontics. She brings this depth of experience into every patient interaction, combining clinical precision with compassionate care.

While she is not currently accepting new patients, Dr. Vickers remains deeply committed to supporting patients with complex restorative needs and advancing prosthodontic education.
“The art and sciences of maxillofacial prosthodontics allow me to restore function and cosmetics to those patients who have undergone extensive and debilitating medical procedures for oral cancer.”
